Tesco has a range of phones which are available on a pay monthly, pay as you go or SIM only basis. You can choose from models such as:

Tesco Pay As You Go

For Tesco Mobile pay-as-you-go customers, there are several different types of tariffs to choose from. They are:

  • Rocket packs- Rocket packs come as standard with pay as you go phones. They include 4G data, minutes and texts. You can choose from a £5-25 rocket pack, depending on how much you top up.
  • Triple Credit- Get free credit when you top up. If you top up over £15, as well as getting more credit you can choose from free minutes, data or texts.

You can change tariffs at any point in the My Account section of the Tesco website or by calling 242 free from your mobile.

Tesco Mobile Top Up

There are many different ways to top up your mobile phone. You can top up over the phone, using your credit/debit card, by using a voucher, online, at a cash machine or with an e-top up card. If you’re a new SIM only customer, you are unable to top up over the phone for security reasons.

Tesco Mobile Pay Monthly

If you opt to pay for your phone as a pay monthly contract, there are several tariffs that you can choose from, depending on how much data you think you will use and the number of minutes and texts. You can choose an Anytime Upgrade contract and you’ll be able to upgrade to the latest smartphones with low early upgrade fees. If you decide to keep your phone once the contract is up, your monthly bill will be reduced.

Tesco Mobile Home From Home

The Tesco Mobile Home from Home service means that you can use your phone in 31 European countries as you do at home- use data, make calls and texts out of your usual monthly allowance. If you go over, don’t panic as you’ll pay the standard UK rate. The Home from Home service runs until the 3rd September, so if you’re heading off on your summer holiday you can take full advantage of it.

Capped Contracts

If you’re worried about going over your monthly bill, Tesco Mobile allows you to set a cap so that you don’t need to worry about this. You can set a safety buffer, i.e. the most that you want to spend on extras, from £2.50 to £40. Tesco Mobile will then make sure that your bill is never any higher than your monthly cap and safety buffer.

Tesco Mobile Clubcard

You can collect Clubcard points for every £1 that you spend on your pay monthly bill or top up. You can then use these points to collect rewards. To register your Clubcard to your Tesco Mobile account, call 282 free from your phone and follow the instructions.

Tesco uses DPD to deliver from Monday to Saturday. If you order before 4pm Monday-Friday, you will get it within two working days. If you order after 4pm or at the weekend, you’ll get it within three working days.

About Tesco Mobile

Tesco Mobile is a mobile virtual network operator in the UK. The network also operates in Ireland, Hungary, Slovakia and the Czech Republic. Tesco Mobile uses the O2 network, except in Ireland, where the operator is Three Ireland and Hungary where it is Vodafone. The network was first established in 2003 and is estimated to have 99% coverage in the UK thanks to O2.

In 2014, the network became one of the first operators to offer 4G data for no extra cost. The customer care branch is outsourced to O2 in Bury, whilst technical support is based in Bristol.

The venture into Ireland came in 2006 when it was announced that Tesco Ireland would partner with O2 Ireland as a mobile network. When Three purchased O2 in 2015, the Irish network was moved from O2 Ireland to Three Ireland.
