UK Nuclear Deterrent

The UK Ministry of Defence are in charge of all UK nuclear deterrent efforts including Trident. Trident consists of 4 submarines which patrol around Britain. Each submarine has the capability of firing eight nuclear missiles each. There is only ever one submarine on patrol at once, while one is recovering, one is preparing for patrol, and the fourth is recovering from patrol. The Trident initiative has been in existence since 1994, and aims to deter potential threats instead of making them. Its main purpose is stop threats from ever becoming a thought to potential enemies across the world.
