Dunelm was founded in 1979 from market traders trading in textiles from a stall in Leicester (where the store now has its head office) and the first store opened here in 1984. The textiles superstore now has 150 stores in the UK and 100 popular in-store coffee shops, which are called Pausa and do a range of food and hot and cold drinks, for a break whilst you shop. Dunelm also have a webstore where all their products and more, are listed. Dunelm sells a range of home and garden furniture as well as furniture for kids and wedding decorations and accessories.

Standard delivery from the Dunelm website is £3.95, but if orders are over £49 delivery is free. Please allow 3-5 working days for delivery. If you can’t wait that long for your order, then you can opt for an express delivery service which costs £5.95. If orders are placed before 9pm, the item will be delivered the next working day. Please note that if an order is placed after 9pm on a Friday, then you can not expect this service until the following Tuesday, no matter what the service. Delivery for furniture differs slightly and is free only for orders over £299, any orders under will be £9.95 for delivery. Please allow up to three weeks for the delivery of furniture (some may take as little as 7-10 days but you will be informed when you order). If you have bought an item in store and have decided not to keep it then you can return it easily to any Dunelm store for a full refund. The item must be returned within 28 days of purchase, alternatively you can swap it for something else. If you have paid on credit or debit card, the item will only be refunded if the person who’s card it was bought on is present and has that card with them. If you only have a gift receipt for the item, then you can only be offered an exchange or credit note, to be spent in store. If you have bought something made to measure such as curtains or blinds, these are exempt from this policy, and cannot be returned. Refunds and exchanges are not available on products such as blankets, throws, mattresses and mattress toppers for hygiene reasons. If an item is bought online and needs returning, the quickest and easiest way of doing this is to take it into your local Dunelm, using the Dunelm store locator that is available on their website. Yes, Dunelm offer a free reserve and collect service, if you see something online, you can reserve it and within three hours it will be ready for you to collect in store. The product is always reserved at the price that is displayed online, but if you get into store and find they are on display for cheaper, you will always be sold the item at the cheaper price. The store you have chosen will hold your order for two days.
