ASOS is one of the UK’s largest online fashion retailers and has established itself globally. The website sells a range of own-brand products, but also stocks many popular designer and high-street brands such as River Island, Missguided, Boohoo, Tommy Hilfiger, Adidas, Lipsy, House of Holland, Lavish Alice, Marc by Marc Jacobs, Michael Kors, New Look, Vans and 7 For All Mankind. ASOS has the option for customers to open a Premier account where they will get special offers and free next-day delivery for a year. There is also the ASOS A-List loyalty scheme, where you earn points with every purchase – 500 points gets you a £5 voucher and the further that you move up the ranks, the better rewards that you will receive, such as free next-day delivery and discount codes.
ASOS offers gift vouchers which make a good present if you are unsure what to get someone. Gift vouchers purchased from the ASOS website are sent directly to the recipient’s email address and you can choose the style of the voucher and the amount that they will get. Vouchers are available in denominations between £20-250.
Whether you want a casual jersey dress to team with tights and boots, an LBD for an upcoming night out or something a little more formal, ASOS has an amazing variety of dresses available. You will find every style such as bodycon, maxi, midi, lace, evening, mini, party, pinafore and prom. Dresses are available in sizes 2-30 and with 3,000 different dresses to choose from, you can easily refine your search by colour, style, length and price. You can choose from dresses from ASOS’ own brand, or from a variety of brands including Alice & You, Cheap Monday, Chi Chi London, Oasis, Rare, and Versace.
ASOS has dresses for brides, bridesmaids and wedding guests. The wedding dresses collection is called ASOS Bridal and has everything from boho floaty dresses (think Margot Robbie) to tailored, cool jumpsuits and co-ords (think Solange). They’re great for brides on a budget as they start from £95 and go up to £250. They don’t compromise on style, with many of the dresses incorporating trends such as 3D applique, high necks and mesh panels. If you’re a bridesmaid, you will find dresses to suit many different shapes and colour schemes, from maxi dresses to shorter prom dresses in a range of colours including lilac, mink, pink, blue and floral. You’ll find bridesmaid dresses from the ASOS collection as well as top brands such as Coast and Needle & Thread.
Although the main ASOS collection goes up to a size 18, you will find a wide range of plus size clothing in sizes 16-30. You’ll be able to purchase a variety of clothing including coats, jeans, dresses, tops and jumpsuits. ASOS Curve is a range specifically for sizes 18-30 and is designed to fit a curvy figure perfectly. ASOS Curve also has a range of accessories specifically for curvier bodies such as choker necklaces and tights. You’ll also find swimwear and lingerie.
ASOS Tall is part of the ASOS collection. It offers stylish, trend-led clothing for women over 5ft 9″. You will find longer-length jeans, dresses, coats and jumpsuits that won’t swing around your ankles. ASOS Tall often makes tall versions of its main collection, so you’re not restricted to basic, boring clothes. However, some items are exclusive to the tall range – these are usually from brands such as Little Mistress, Daisy Street, Noisy May and Glamorous as well as ASOS Tall.
ASOS Petite is a stylish collection designed for girls 5 foot 3″ and under. You will find basics such as tops and jeans with a leg length of 26″ as well as dresses designed to flatter your figure rather than swamp you. ASOS Petite is an extension of the main ASOS collection with the length and fit of items adjusted, but the Petite section of the website also showcases petite offerings from other brands such as Miss Selfridge, New Look, and Missguided. The clothes are trend-led so you don’t have to compromise on your style to find clothes which fit well.
When you’re pregnant you want to feel comfortable, but you still want to be stylish. ASOS has a great maternity collection – you’ll find basics such as jeans and t-shirts, as well as occasionwear for your baby shower or a wedding. Maternity clothing has been designed to fit comfortably over or under your bump. The tops have extra room in the tummy area whilst the jeans often have a jersey panel to accommodate the bump. Some of the clothes are also designed for after your pregnancy with nursing panels.
ASOS Marketplace is the home of unique independent brands which are up and coming. Sellers open a boutique on the ASOS Marketplace and pay a commission fee to ASOS in exchange for advertising and their own little store. You will find vintage items as well as independently designed items.
ASOS was founded in 2000 and has grown to become one of the leading online fashion retailers. It stocks over 850 brands and 80,000 products across clothing, accessories and beauty. It has a separate website in countries such as the USA, France, Germany, Spain and Russia, but it also ships to 140 countries.
